Started the morning off to a great start with a briefing by Aluf Benn, the editor in chief of Ha’aretz newspaper. He gave us a fascinating explanation on the Israel economy and political system. Engaging and interesting.
We then visited the Palmach Air Force base. Met with the Officers and pilots. Saw helicopters and the unmanned aerial drones and learned how careful the pilots are with very exact targeting to avoid civilian casualties even when missiles are fired from populated areas against Israel.
From there we visited Caesarea and the historic ruins and the amphitheater.
We had a beautiful afternoon wandering around the cobble-stoned streets of Safed exploring the Artists Colony and learning about the history of the “City of Kabbalah”. We then checked in at the Bayit B’galil hotel in Rosh Pina.
