We are off to a great start our first day here. We had a cocktail party with the management of the David Intercontinental hotel. We received greetings from Haim Gutin Deputy Durector General Ministry of Tourism North and South America and Shay Attias senior adviser to Minister Edelstein.

After that the group went on a walking tour of Old Jaffa with Tel Aviv resident Jay Schultz.

Then we went to the Nalaga’at Center, the first of its kind in the world, it is a theater group whose actors are all deaf and blind. We met with the actors but did not see the play. We ate dinner at the Black Out Restaurant.

We went to experience the Tel Aviv night scene joined by by Aki Avni, one of Israel’s leading actors, Gideon Ruff, creator of “Homeland” Ninet Tayeb, the first winner of the Israeli version of American Idol, Joseph Cedar, winner of the best screenplay at Cannes in 2011 and Shirley Bouganim, one of Israel’s leading super models.
