We are very excited to be in Israel this week with the executives of the National Association of Evangelicals.
The National Association of Evangelicals has spoken as a united voice for millions of American evangelicals since 1942. But, the voice of NAE is clearer, stronger and more broadly heard now than ever before. The Association represents more than 45, 000 local churches from over 40 different denominations and serves a constituency of millions.
The President, Chairman, Director of Congressional Lobbying efforts plus several other senior executives have all come to Israel together on our mission.
Joining us this week are: Leith Anderson, President of National Evangelical Association; George Wood, General Superintendent, Assemblies of God; Galen Carey, NAE Vice President; Lee Roy Taylor, Chairman of the NAE Board; Pastor John Jenkins, Leading African American Pastor with over 10,000 members in his church; and Pastor Jim Tolle, Pastor of the largest evangelical Spanish-speaking congregations in the United States.
We arrived at the David Intercontinental hotel to a warm reception from the management; after that some started touring the promenade, fresh market and the old city of Jaffa, while others took the time to rest before dinner.
We had dinner at the David Intercontinental Hotel where we were briefed by Dr Jay Rawlings. He runs a media outreach and documentary program on Israel.
We’re off to bed in anticipation of tomorrow.
